Today, we hear about the medical condition called Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADD or ADHD), and wonder if our children might just be hyperactive.

ADHD is diagnosed four to nine times more often in boys than in girls and is one of the most researched areas in child and adolescent mental health.
Although it is a medical diagnosis, not a school diagnosis. The FDA has approved Daytrana, the first skin patch as an alternative treatment for ADHD in children aged 6-12. But even with successful treatment, children with ADHD require almost constant attention.
